To help your business succeed in this time of economic challenge, it’s vital employers invest in skills. Training increases productivity in the short term – and employers who don’t train are two times more likely to fail than those who do.
Research shows that three in four business people (76%) believe that their organisation would not succeed without investment in training.

Step 1. We assess skill/knowledge gaps
Our staff will use diagnostics to help each employee identify what they can do already and what they need to learn. They will jointly agree on activities to meet their needs and approve these with you.
Step 2. We deliver flexible, practical training
Based on the skill gaps identified the advisor will suggest the most appropriate course(s). In the unlikely event that we cannot provide these courses, we will refer you to someone that can. We will then deliver a flexible programme combining online learning with workplace visits to provide the necessary knowledge.
Step 3. We assess competence
We will provide an assessor who will meet with your employee a number of times throughout the process to review and record progress and to help them meet the programme evidence requirements. Generally, the job the employee is doing will generate the evidence for assessment which reduces disruption to normal work. Where an employee has not met the required standard at that time, they are given the opportunity to improve their ability and will be reassessed later.
Why train your staff with Focus Training?
We deliver our training programmes in a flexible and practical way to ensure they meet the needs of your business without disrupting the schedules of your employees.
Support
We offer diagnostics which assess the level of an employee’s current skills and encourage tailored learning of underpinning knowledge. This means that your employees aren’t spending any more time than is necessary on training; they only learn what they need to fill their knowledge gaps. And as it’s about them, they will be more personally engaged – and it saves you time too.
We can provide as much or as little support as is needed. It’s not like traditional learning where you have to do a course for a set amount of time on the same day every week. This support and flexibility means that achievement time of more traditional methods can be reduced with less disruption to your business and a more evenly spread impact of staff training.
How much will it cost?
All of courses are affordable whatever your situation, but you can contact us to discuss the individual circumstances of both your business and your employees which will allow us to calculate the cost of the training you wish to undertake. However, with the current widespread access to funding, it is very likely that you could be eligible for training at no cost to you or your employees!
What’s your role?
Your role as an employer is to ensure your staff have the opportunity at work to demonstrate competence in the workplace within deadlines. You need to be committed to allow the time within the business for assessment to take place, and, if applicable, allow sufficient flexibility for the employee to undertake jobs beyond their current remit.
What courses are available?
