PLYMOUTH businesswoman Beryl Bailey has been appointed chair of the Plymouth and South Devon Training Providers Network. It's the second time Beryl has chaired the group; she was one of the first chairs when the network was formed in 2000.
Beryl, a partner in the company Focus Training, said: "It's a great honour to be asked to chair the network for a second time.
"Training and improving skills are key to improving the prosperity of Plymouth and South. Devon.
"There are many initiatives that employers can take advantage of, and a better-skilled workforce means a more efficient and more profitable workforce.
"Employers should look at the many schemes which are around, such as Train to Gain, and find out what help they can get."
The Plymouth and South Devon Network has 18 training company members and works with the Learning and Skills Council to provide work-based learning.
