How to find us

Louise Perry

Louise started working for a large local Co-op in Plymouth when she was 18 years old. It was her first job since leaving school & she started as a part time sales assistant. Her first qualification was a straight NVQ in Retail (level 2) which she achieved in 2000.

Louise has gone onto achieve a Customer Service FMA, Customer Service AMA & also completed a Management level 3 NVQ in October of last year. Louise found that she needed more guidance & support on her Management NVQ course which her assessor was able to provide.  Louise has also got married & has had a son (who is now 3 years old) at the same time as studying.

Whilst completing these courses Louise progressed to a full time sales assistant, supervisor, duty manager & has recently been promoted to assistant manager.

She feels that these qualifications have given her the chance to progress quicker in her career & have aided her in achieving her in-house supervisor & duty manager courses (which she took simultaneously whilst completing her apprentice frameworks).  Louise grew in confidence so much she hosted a food hygiene training session for her team members -which she researched herself to enable her to achieve her keyskills.

Louise found her qualifications challenging, but achievable & found they have given her more confidence in acting assertively & communicating with team members & customers. Louise now feels she has the principle skills required for effective managerial performance & the right type of interpersonal skills required for productive teamwork. Her aspiration is to become manager of her own store.
