Work Based Assessor Trainers needed

Focus Training is expanding its recruitment of work based trainer assessors.

Due to the expansion of our contract we will need to recruit assessor trainers. This is an ideal opportunity to gain the skills you need to apply for the vacancies.

How you can qualify?

If you have at least three years to five work experience and have held a senior, supervisory or management position in at least two of the occupational areas listed below:

· Retail

· Hospitality

· Warehousing

You will also need to have excellent Communication and time management skills with a desire to improve if necessary your literacy and numeracy skills with the help of our well trained staff.

What’s in it for you?

· Full training will be given, to achieve the ‘A units’ which are the required minimum qualification to enable you to practice as a work based assessor.

· The normal minimum cost of this qualification is £500. We will deliver the A units to you free of charge provided that you are able assess at least two NVQ candidates in your chosen occupational area.

· Focus Training will supply mentoring and support to enable you to move onto a part or full time job as a peripatetic assessor.

· Potential support to achieve the PTTLs (initial teacher training qualification) to the successful candidates

· Free certificated courses in Appointed Person First Aid, Health & Safety Level 2 and Food Safety (where required).

Expenses to attend initial induction (2 days agreed flexibly to fit with your current employer) plus out of pocket expenses to meet with our staff who will support you on a one to one basis to achieve your qualification

Full-time Work Based Training Consultant Needed

Focus Training (SW) Ltd. is currently recruiting a Retail and Business Administration Training Consultant to cover Plymouth / Devon area.

Experience required

· A minimum of 3 to 5 years Retail and Administration experience

· A Units and Key Skills are essential

Details

Initially we are offering a 12 months contract with potential of a permanent position.

Salary (pro rata)

£16,500k depending on experience

Benefits

Travel expenses, private Health care and pro rata 25days holiday leave per annum.

Part-time Work Based Training Consultant Needed

Focus Training (SW) Ltd. is currently recruiting a Hospitality Training Consultant to cover Middle to West Cornwall.

Experience required

· A minimum of 3 years in the Hospitality industry at supervisory level or above

· Knowledge of Key Skills is an advantage

· A Units and PTTLS are preferred, however training is available

Details

Initially we are offering 15 hours per week; however there is an opportunity for more depending on the size of caseload.

Salary (pro rata)

£16k depending on experience

Apprentices Vacancies

Customer Service/Retail Apprenticeship position (ref: HYDPHAR)

An employer in Plymouth is looking to recruit a Retail/Customer Service Apprentice to work within a Pharmacy. Full training and guidance will be given for the Apprentice to complete a Level 2 Retail/Customer Service Apprenticeship. Applicants should have an interest in the Retail industry.

Duties include:

· Liaising with customers in all areas of sales whilst maintaining a very high level of customer service.

· Managing stock levels, replenishing and cleaning sales areas.

· Processing payments of various kinds through a till, dealing with credit card payments, cheques, and account payments.

· Dealing with customer complaints and comments, whilst maintaining excellent customer service standards and adhering to health and safety legislation.

· Also training in pharmaceuticals.

· Regular one to one meetings with your Training Consultant to complete work for the Level 2 Apprenticeship.

The successful applicant will be well presented have a polite and friendly personality and enjoying working in a team. They will be working closely with the public in all areas of the pharmacy including front of house.

Apprenticeship wage: £95 per week – Flexible Hours between 9.00 – 19.00

Location: Plymouth

Initially this placement is available for the time it takes to complete the Apprenticeship however; full time employment may be offered after the successful completion of the Apprenticeship qualification.

Hospitality Apprenticeship position (ref:ACTOT)

An employer in Totnes is looking to recruit a Hospitality Apprentice to work within a popular restaurant/café. Full training and guidance will be given for the Apprentice to complete a Level 2 Hospitality Apprenticeship. Applicants should have an interest in the Hospitality industry.

Duties include:

Dealing with customers – taking orders
Using the till and handling cash
Serving hot and cold food
Food preparation
Cleaning as required
Regular one to one meetings with your Training Consultant to complete work for the Level 2 Apprenticeship

Apprenticeship wage: £95 per week for 35 hours per week.

Administration/Customer Service Apprenticeship position (ref:CON-NA)

This internet sales company based in the Newton Abbot area is looking to employ an Apprentice to work within their growing business. The successful applicant will be a motivated, polite and professional individual who can work well with others. Full training will be provided for the Apprentice to complete a Level 2 Administration/Customer Service Apprenticeship.

The Apprenticeship Job Role will be -

To competently answer customer enquiries via email and telephone.
To engage customers with enthusiasm and address their enquiries in a timely manner.
To efficiently process orders through our online administration system and to complete the process by accurately picking and then packing customer orders.
To collate and despatch post using the correct procedure.
To assist in updating various websites operating under the Consumabulbs banner.
To assist in updating and maintaining various databases.
To assist in stock taking/ordering processes.
To accurately deal with inbound deliveries by checking all goods received and thereafter subsequent processes as advised.
To be willing to undertake occasional project focused tasks as and when required.
To provide an informative, enthusiastic and efficient service at all times.
To have regular one to one meetings with your Training Consultant to complete work for the Level 2 Apprenticeship

Location – Newton Abbot Devon

Wage - £100 per week

Retail Apprenticeship position (ref:SPTOR)

An employer in the Torquay area is offering a placement for one learner to complete a Retail Apprenticeship. Whilst working within this busy convenience store/Postoffice the successful applicant will receive full training, support and assessment by Focus Training.

Duties include:

Helping customers to purchase products
Providing information and advice to customers
General up keep of the shop floor
Stock replenishment
Using the till and computer system
Regular one to one meetings with your Training Consultant to complete work for the Level 2 Retail Apprenticeship

Initially this is a 12 month placement however; full time employment may be offered after the successful completion of the Apprenticeship qualification.
