Money for Life

Money for Life Conference - National Skills Academy

The National Skills Academy for Financial Services in partnership with the Lloyds Banking Group organised and hosted the Money for Life Stakeholder Conference. It took place on 13th June 2011 and it was followed by a Parliamentary Reception at the House of Commons, kindly hosted by Justin Tomlinson MP.

Money for Life is a combined partnership between Lloyds Banking Group, the Money Advice Service and further education sector partners from all four nations in the UK . The programme aims to facilitate the sharing of best practice and provide training and resources to equip learners with the skills they need to manage their money better.

The day began with focus groups, where invitees shared thoughts on their Information Advice and Guidance that they give their learners. Lunch was provided, whilst all participants will have the opportunity to see and visit the different stands and activities. Followed was the conference where a delegate from each nation spoke about how what they have been doing to make people aware of money and financial situations. Afterwards, all attendees were invited to a Parliamentary Reception, taking place at the House of Commons which was hosted by Justin Tomlinson MP.
